Acaia
All Acaia scales are supported by Artisan including just introduced Artisan Roasting Scales COSMO-10 and COSMO-100. Up to two scales can be connected in parallel as configured under menu Config >> Devices >> Batch Manager.
Arduino
The Arduino/TC4 (available on Tindi)is an interesting option for those that do not worry much about handling electronics without a case. The TC4 is a 4-channel temperature probe shield that can be attached to the standard Arduino UNO open-hardware device. There is also an integrated product that combines a variant of the UNO with the TC4 in one package, named TC4C, as well as further variants like the TC4+. Furthermore, the HT Roaster Interface was developed as add on to the TC4/TC4C stack to allow the control of the Hottop home roaster via serial commands that can be assigned to sliders or buttons in Artisan (see this post for details).
ColorTrack
Artisan supports tracking of color information from the ColorTrack Benchtop and ColorTrack Realtime devices via a USB/Serial connection (device type ColorTrack Serial) or via Bluetooth (device type ColorTrack BT).
Meters
Artisan implements the communication protocols of a number of handheld meters that can operate autonomous, run on their own power source (battery or power-plug), come with a display and feature a serial interface to communicate with an external software.
MODBUS Serial
The MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocols are communicated over a RS485 connection. This is usually connects via a serial RS485-to-USB converter to the computer.

Artisan supports all variants of the MODBUS protocol.
MQTT
Artisan implements versions 5.0, 3.1.1, and 3.1 of the MQTT protocol over TCP or WebSockets with optional Transport Layer Security (TLS) and authentication. Credentials are stored in the operating system's keychain system. Connect timeout and keepalive periods can be configured.
Phidget SETS
Phidgets modules offer reliable measuring for roast logging with Artisan. In general Phidgets are plug-and-play, providing high-resolution data at high-speed.

Phidgets
Artisan supports a large number of Phidgets that gather temperature and other data. It also supports Phidgets that can generate external output triggered by Artisan actions.
PID
Artisan comes with specific support for the Fuji PXR, PXG & PXF line of products and the Delta DTA PIDs. For these PIDs Artisan provides dialogs to configure some of their settings like their Ramp-and-Soak patterns. Those can be accessed via the blue PID button on the main window, once the Control flag in the Device Assignment dialog is ticked (menu Config >> Device).
Siemens S7
Artisan can be configured to read from up to 8 channels from a Siemens S7 PLC. Per channel, the S7 area, database, register and data type (integer or float) can be configured

WebSockets
Artisan supports the communication of JSON over WebSockets.
Yoctopuce
Artisan supports most Yoctopuce modules. Most prominently the Yocto Thermocouple and the Yocto PT100. Both connect directly via USB and do not need the installation of any additional driver.
